TOUR TIMES

Reef Ecotours are running Mon-Fri at present.

Snorkelling equipment can be hired from Fish'n N Fuel'n or Pleasure Divers.

We have excellent self-guided snorkelling trails on the island now, in Geoffrey Bay and Nelly Bay. Both have giant clams and beautiful coral along the trail, for more information click here.

For Booking Enquiries, call Andy direct on 0419 712 579, or Email us at: bookings@reefecotours.com

WEATHER & UNDERWATER VISIBILITY

See weather links below for the latest forecast. Best times for snorkelling will be around low tides.

During windy conditions, Florence Bay and Alma Bay will have small waves for surfing (best around the low tides), and Nelly Bay is the best spot for kiteboarding and windsurfing. Radical and Balding Bay will be calm and suitable for swimming.

Information about kiteboarding on Magnetic Island can be found here.

We are now into the cooler winter months, however stinging jellyfish such as Irukandji and Blue-bottles (Physalia) may still be present around Magnetic Island. We suggest that snorkellers and swimmers cover up as much of their body as possible, even when swimming in the stinger nets (All Reef Ecotours clients are covered ankle to wrist with a lycra suit or wetsuit).

While you're on Magnetic Island, why not use the opportunity to visit the Aquasearch Aquarium in Nelly Bay and see Giant Clams and hundreds of juvenile clownfish just like NEMO! (click here for MAP).

Have a great time on the "Rock"
